What is the difference between Standard and Light Requests?
 
There are a few differences between a Standard and Light Requests, the major difference being are that Standard Requests are only accessible to highly skilled translators. All Conyac translators have agreed to our non-disclosure agreement, but only translators who have had their ID verified and those who have performed at a high level are allowed to translate Standard Requests.
For Light Requests, all translators who have agreed to our non-disclosure agreement are allowed to work on light requests.



Which one should I choose?

For a tryout request, a short email or music lyrics, a light request is recommended and if the language is from English to Japanese or vice versa, with a light request you will be able to receive a translation result faster than with a standard one. However, please note that sometimes the quality of the translation might not be satisfying enough, because any translator on Conyac can do light requests.

For business level requests or requests that require knowledge in certain fields such as IT related documents or contract documents, a standard request is recommended. With standard requests, you can upload files like Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
Moreover, the quality of the translation result of a standard request is guaranteed for only qualified translators on Conyac can do standard requests.

Therefore, choose the one that will suit you the best for your current requests.
